Preventative botox – does botox prevent wrinkles?

Prevention is always better than cure, that’s what my granny used to tell me. She wasn’t far wrong, and the same is true when it comes to aesthetics.

Preventative botox, sometimes called Baby botox, does work; with people aged 20-30 catching on to what those in their 40s and 50s didn’t know about.  If you catch a good frown before it destroys the collagen in the skin, it doesn’t get a chance to become established.  Don’t worry it still has a place if you already have lines that are there at rest, it’s pressing pause on the cause.

So we know Preventative botox works, but so do other things. SPF is essential, even in Northern Ireland where it feels like we get two days of summer each year. We are exposed to UVB rays no matter what the weather.  Commute, go for a walk, even sit by a window and those rays are getting you.

Regenerative treatments are so important.  I have been banging on about this for about 5 years now.  Medical grade skin care, active skin boosters and platelet rich plasma start to get your skin working for you.  They can feel like a slow burn, but they are preserving collagen as we age, who wouldn’t want that?

So get ahead of the problem with these preventative treatments.
